The fast-growing variety impresses with black-green glossy leaves, compact growth and creamy-white flowers. But the real highlight are the copper-red colored inflorescences as they fade. We are excited every year!

The crossing of the Balearic Hellebore (H. lividus) with the Christmas rose (H. niger) produces a real variety of different cross species. All varieties are indicated with a frost hardiness of a good 20 degrees minus. Since H. lividus prefers very permeable, rather drier locations, it can be concluded that the garden or the culture should adapt accordingly. All varieties can be planted lighter, even with light exposure to sunlight, but in no case can they be planted in deep shade. Well-drained, dry soil, not too much drop of drops on the foliage and a location that dries slightly after rainfall would be recommended.
